Wembley Stadium - Engineering Connections
The massive arch would hold up the roof from above, so no more columns.
Panoramic View
Nothing supports the roof from the below.
The big roof isn't always good for the grass due to the sunlight. Retractable Roof.

Crossbow. Compare the crossbow to the longbow, horizontal and vertical, respectively.
Cog rail
The stadium is versatile that can be transformed into the concert. But, echo is good for the ball game, not for the concert.
Think about the ball is like the spectator who listened the concert and heard the echo.
The stadium is round that echo would be like that, you never want to pay to listen noise in
the concert.
F-117 Nighthawk. Stealth Attack Aircraft
As you can see, each window is angled slight away from the other, rather than facing directly
to the seats.
By breaking up the stadium curve, the engineers made sure the sound reflected back to the critical hot spot, but not reflect in all directions.
