It's the car of the future, really ?? Let the time prove it.
Emission of the gasoline engine is carbon dioxide.
My interesting things is How Much Carbon Dioxide Emission Produced
during manufacturing the Volt and the plant produced power for recharging the electric car.

Old fashion craft way and tech work together. Before going into the mass-production,
the camera got the access to the factory to film the pre-production model.
Machining, Tooling, and Stamping.

Stamping.
Slam the sheet metal into the shape.
It gives the edge of the fender a finished look.
Hammer is the craftmanship not only exclusive to the fender .
Construction the prototype car still relies the method dating back the car first built.
Hammering plays an important role.
Tens of millions dollars was spent developing and installing the ultimate equipment needed for
mass-production. Engineers learn during the hand-built process drives their design.

Three pieces would be aligned using pins locking holes of the floor.
Weld compartments together.
Once the underbody can be fit the battery would be on mass-production.
On the mass-production, the underbody would be welded by the robot.
