Harley Davidson - V Rod
Harley Davidson - V Rod. Water cooling.
This is the legendary V-Twin Engine.
45 Degrees. Compared to Ducati is 90 degrees.
The traditional backbone of Harley Davidson is below the tank.
The V-Rod chassis is outside and surrounds the engine.
The chrome component of engine and exhaust pipe.
Use the CNC bent and shaped the pipe.
It will leave the uneven pipe and ugly surface.
As you can the inner of the corner of the bending pipe is swelled.
Hydra-Forming
Hydra-Forming process.
Seal one end and inject the other two and half thousand kilograms per square centimeter of water. The force made the tube expand and smooth.
After the hydra-forming process.
The left is smoother than the right.
Bend the tube.
Use the laser cut the tube.
The robot welded the chassis.
But final weld done by human, due to right space which the robot can't reach.
